The Organising Committee of the 28th National Scout Regatta are pleased to present this Notice of Regatta.
The Regatta will take place between 29 December 2017 and 06 January 2018. The Regatta will be held at Onepoto Bay, Porirua . The camp will be located on the grounds of the Titahi Bay Intermediate School, and will be centrally-catered. Please see the NR28 Site Map in the Key Documents section.
Costs to attend the Regatta are currently expected to be: - $450 for Youth members
- $125 for Adult leaders
- $0 for Adult Regatta staff
The Youth member age brackets for competition purposes are described as follows:
Age Bracket | Age Range in years | Junior | 10 ½ to 13 birthday between 25 December 2004 and 25 June 2007 inclusive | Intermediate | 13 to 15 ½ birthday between 25 June 2002 and 24 December 2004 inclusive | Senior | 15 ½ to 18 ½ birthday between 25 June 2002 and 24 June 1999 or end of Year 13 (requires valid 2017 Yr13 school ID) whichever is later birthday on or before 24 June 2002 |
A Competition Programme document describing the events, expectations, scoring and other aspects of the Regatta itself is expected to be available by Labour Weekend 2016. |
